Fuel cell developer allocated millions in funding
Dec 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Jadoo Power Systems' SOCOM Power Program will be allocated $2.4 million in additional funding as part of the U.S. Military 2007 Defense Appropriations Bill. President Bush signed the bill into law on Sept. 29.

“This funding will allow Jadoo to continue its development efforts on fuel cell technologies,” said Congressman Dan Lungren, who represents Jadoo's district in California. “Their product offerings will support our soldiers in the field by significantly reducing the carry weight of legacy battery technology during mission-critical deployments. I am pleased that the House recognizes the innovative work that Jadoo is conducting in taking fuel cell technology from the lab and delivering the critical power necessary to protect our homeland.”

Jadoo has been able to push forward into many other power support markets and applications such as emergency preparedness, portable radio and laptop battery recharging, as well as a battery replacement for emergency lighting and critical communication devices like satellite phones and modems.
