Xirrus' WLAN array named official Wi-Fi solution for Interop Las Vegas 2007 Jan 1, 2007 12:00 PM
Xirrus, the only long-range, high-capacity Triple Play Wi-Fi platform in the industry that can effectively extend wired network capabilities to wireless — without compromise, has been selected to be the official wireless provider for Interop 2007 in Las Vegas. As an official provider, Xirrus will provide long-range Wi-Fi capabilities at Interop Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Xirrus was chosen after providing stellar, seamless Wi-Fi connectivity and coverage at last year's Interop in New York. “IT professionals continue to come to Interop shows because of its reputation for bringing the best in the industry,” said Dirk Gates, CEO at Xirrus. “Interop has acknowledged our value as an innovative Wi-Fi provider and has chosen yet again to use our proven next-generation technology.” The Xirrus Triple Play Wi-Fi array is the only device that uses high-gain, sectored antennas that deliver two times the range and four times more coverage than any current- generation access point. The Xirrus array packs 4, 8 or 16 radios along with an onboard Gigabit ethernet switch into a compact, ceiling-mountable device that supports 802.11a, b and g and has been architected in advance to fully support 802.11n when the standard is ratified. The Interop exhibition and conference will run May 20-May 25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. For more information, visit www.interop.com.
