Dual, quad op amps operate from 1.8 V

Linear Technology has introduced the LT6001 and LT6002, 1.8 V dual and quad operational amplifiers available in a tiny DFN package. These micro power devices draw only 13 mA per amplifier and have excellent performance characteristics.

Input offset voltage is 500 mV max at 25°C with a maximum drift of 5 mV/°C over temperature. Inputs and outputs feature rail-to-rail operation. The minimum gain-bandwidth product for the parts is 30 kHz, and the minimum slewrate is 6 V/ms.

This combination of low supply voltage, low current consumption and excellent DC specifications in a tiny DFN package make the parts suited for handheld and battery-powered applications. For even greater power savings, the dual LT6001 in 3 mm x 3 mm package also includes a shutdown pin, allowing current consumption to drop to 1.5 mA maximum when not in use.

The LT6001 and LT6002 are available now. Prices start from $1.25 and $2.00 each, respectively, in 1000-piece quantities.
