AVX has developed a series of capacitors that are qualified in accordance to standard AEC-Q200. The company's APS capacitor series undergo additional automated visual inspection and maverick lot identification by means of 100% electrical-test-data, statistical analysis. Samples are then subjected to thermal shock followed by accelerated humidity and life testing.
The APS components are assigned special part numbers, ensuring standard compliance from design, through to distribution. Each lot is shipped with a certificate of conformance, and a reliability package is issued to all APS customers on a quarterly basis.
In addition, a detailed qualification package is available on request and contains results on a range of part numbers including X7R dielectric components containing BME electrode and copper terminations with Ni/Sn-plated overcoat, X7R dielectric components containing BME electrodes and soft terminations with Ni/Sn-plated overcoat X7R for hybrid applications, and NPO dielectric components containing Pd/Ag electrode and silver terminations with Ni/Sn-plated overcoat.
