DoD awards $7.4 million to fund air data equipment modifications Jan 24, 2006 5:03 PM
The United States Department of Defense announced that Innovative Solutions & Support Inc. has been awarded a $7.4 million contract for digital air data computer, altimeter and airspeed indicator modifications. The contracting activity for this effort is the 448th Combat Sustaining Wing, Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Innovative Solutions & Support Inc. is a supplier of air data equipment for Falcon, Cessna Citation, Learjet, Gulfstream, Sabreliner, Raytheon King Air, Beechjet, Westwind, Hawker and Challenger business aircraft. The Company also provides certified solutions for a wide variety of commercial air transport aircraft including DC-8s, DC-9s, B-707s, B-727s and B-737s, as well as military aircraft including A-10s, KC-135s, RC-135s and C-130s. With headquarters in Exton, Penn; Innovative Solutions & Support Inc. designs, manufactures flight information computers, flat-panel displays and advanced monitoring systems that measure and display flight information. This includes data relative to aircraft separation, airspeed and altitude — as well as engine and fuel data measurements.
