Bayonet-based LED retrofit lamps provide bright and uniform illumination in backlighting applications

DDP has developed a series of wide-angle, bayonet-based LED retrofit lamps that provide bright and uniform illumination in backlighting applications. Part of DDP’s PowerLine LED series, the BA9-style T3-1/4 LED lamp is ideal for retrofitting and replacing incandescent bulbs used to backlight annunciators in industrial plants and power utilities. The new LED lamp incorporates up to four 120-degree surface-mount LEDs to ensure wide and uniform illumination of the annunciator lens. With an average life span upward of 100,000 hours, DDP LED lamps provide a predictable operating life and energy savings of 50% to 80%, significantly improving maintenance costs and downtime.

"Annunciators are traditionally backlit by inefficient incandescent bulbs that illuminate lenses indicating alarms and status of critical processes," said Tony Toniolo, DDP president. "The PowerLine Annunciator LED series eliminates many of the inherent shortcomings of incandescent bulbs such as filament failures, frequent maintenance and excessive heat."

DDP’s BA9-style T3-1/4 LED lamp can be supplied in one-LED and four-LED configurations. Available in five colors: red, amber, green, blue, and white, the BA9-style T3-1/4 LED lamp is offered in a variety of voltages from 12 VDC to 120 VAC. Typical pricing of the BA9-style T3-1/4 LED lamp starts at $8.10 in quantities of 100 with a lead time of 4 weeks.
