Southern-California-based circuit-fabrication house Murrietta Circuits has added mechanical computer-aided-design (CAD) capability in the form of SolidWorks software. With 3D modeling and simulation using both SolidWorks and CircuitWorks, Murrietta’s mechanical engineers are now able to offer a complete box build that can be directly imported from our CAD layout systems, with component height definitions for full 3D rendering. According to founder Andrew Murrietta, "The addition of SolidWorks to our CAD department greatly increases our capabilities in 3D modeling for circuit board and box build applications. Our Engineering group is very excited about the possibilities and the added level of service we can bring to the Engineering and Design departments, and ultimately our customers.”
