Mimix introduces QFN-packaged 4.5 - 10.5 GHz GaAs MMIC receiver
Nov 14, 2007 3:14 PM

Mimix Broadband Inc. has introduced a gallium arsenide monolithic microwave integrated circuit receiver that covers 4.5 GHz to 10.5 GHz. This highly integrated receiver exhibits a noise figure of 1.8 dB and a 13 dB conversion gain across the band.

The receiver, identified as the XR1011-QH, integrates an image reject mixer, an LO buffer amplifier and a low noise amplifier within a fully molded, 4 mm x 4 mm QFN package that is RoHS compliant. The image reject mixer eliminates the need for an image bandpass filter, following the amplifier, to remove thermal noise at the image frequency. The XR1011-QH is well suited for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services, SATCOM and VSAT.

Mimix performs 100% RF, dc and noise figure testing on this product. Engineering samples are available from stock and production quantities will become available in 12 to 14 weeks.
