MIL-STD-1553 bus tools support real-time operating system Dec 13, 2005 3:08 PM
Condor Engineering has announced that its military application programming interface (BusTools/1553-API) is available with support for Green Hills Software's Integrity real-time operating system (OS). This system is suited for embedded avionics applications. Condor responded to the growing number of aerospace system designers that have chosen the Integrity OS by developing and integrating the Integrity device drivers for ruggedized (MIL-STD-1553) avionics interface modules. These drivers significantly reduce integration time. "When coupled with Condor's 1553 modules, the customer acquires a proven combination that reduces development time and is extremely cost effective," said Bill Schuh, Condor's director of military products. "Condor's 1553 API is the industry's most advanced avionics development suite and the Integrity driver with source code provided at no cost," he added. Condor Engineering is a supplier of avionics databus tools and solutions that include embedded, test and simulation interfaces for commercial (ARINC, AFDX) and military (MIL-STD-1553, MMSI) avionics databuses. The company's headquarters are in Santa Barbara, Calif. Green Hills Software Inc., whose headquarters are also in Santa Barbara, supplies real-time operating systems and device software optimization for 32-bit and 64-bit embedded systems. Green Hills Software’s European headquarters is in the United Kingdom.
