Sprague-Goodman Electronics has introduced its SGNM line of ceramic, high-voltage, non-magnetic, variable capacitors. These are said to be the most advanced high-voltage, non-magnetic variable capacitor to be introduced into the market in recent years. The high-purity ceramic dielectric used in the SGNM is a new concept in the industry, and provides advantages over the current Teflon dielectric products offered on the market – with regard to performance, durability, as well as mechanical and electrical stability. The SGNM series is well suited for cryogenic applications at temperatures as low as 4 °K.
The series is available with maximum capacitances ranging from 10 to 180 pF in 5 pF increments, at working voltages up to 7500 V and is able to withstand voltages up to 15,000 V.
