Family of power supplies delivers high power per cubic volume and fast transient response Apr 9, 2008 2:38 PM
The Vicor Corporation has introduced a family of modular power platforms called the VI Brick. These power supplies incorporate the superior technical attributes of VI Chip technology and a robust packaging that facilitates thermal management and through-hole assembly. Models include high-current density/low-voltage DC-DC converters, a wide range of highly-efficient bus converters and individual modules for both regulation and transformation. These modules provide a highly efficient solution for intermediate bus architecture and point-of-load designs that require multiple output voltages. They are available with nominal input voltages including 48 VDC and high voltages up to 380 VDC, as well as a wide array of output voltages from 1.5 to 48 VDC. The efficiency and The VI Brick models are available in a base temperature grade of –40º to +100 ºC, operating, and -40º to +125 ºC, storage, with a slotted-flange baseplate and through-hole pin style. All modules of the VI Brick family are RoHS Pricing for modules of the VI Brick family begin at $33 in OEM quantities.
