Multi-octave tracking filter with YIG oscillator unveiled
Feb 22, 2005 1:28 PM

Omniyig has introduced its model M141YTO, a tracking four-stage YIG filter with YIG oscillator. The YIG filter covers 2 GHz to 8 GHz with the YIG oscillator offsetting by 160 MHz above the filter. This unit is well suited for use in electronic countermeasure receivers (ECMs) or in other receivers as a front-end tuner.

The RF power output is +13 dBm minimum and oscillator FM noise is -120 dBc, 100 kHz away. This unit can be integrated with an analog driver or a 12-bit digital driver to tune the full frequency range. Built to MIL-E-5400 specifications, the M141YTO operates over a temperature range of -54° C to +85° C. Its overall dimensions are 1.6 in. high x 2.8 in. long x 2.8 in. wide. With a 12-bit digital driver the unit measures 1.65 in. high x 3.7 in. long x 3.4 in. wide. Omniyig offers other dual, two-stage bandpass tracking filters to cover various frequencies.
