Mar 17, 2005 4:15 PM

TECOM Industries, Inc., a Smiths Interconnect company, has appointed Raju Chandra as vice president of marketing and sales, reporting directly to President Ralph L. Philips. Chandra will be responsible for capturing new business opportunities as TECOM expands its antenna product lines worldwide in the aerospace, military, SATCOM and wireless communications markets.

Prior to joining TECOM, Chandra was a marketing executive at EDO Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems, responsible for marketing and sales of ELINT/ESM Systems to prime contractors, government agencies and international customers. In addition to EDO, his 20-plus years of antenna design and business development experience includes tenures at Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications and Condor Systems. This experience is complemented with a stint at a wireless start-up focused on commercial wireless smart antenna technologies.

"We are delighted to have Raju join our very successful team," said Phillips. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has been heavily involved in selling integrated RF systems to prime contractors and government customers. As TECOM continues to grow, Raju's expertise will assist our team in pursuing and capturing future business opportunities."

Chandra holds a BESS and a MSEE from the University of Illinois.
