TechnoConcepts establishes Korean presence for software radio Aug 18, 2005 3:48 PM
Following the success of its true software radio (TSR) technology in South Korea, TechnoConcepts, Inc. has announced that it will establish a business office and technical support team in Korea. In connection with this initiative, Jin Chan Kim, formerly of Daewoo Telecommunications, has been named a business development advisor in South Korea. Gi Yong Kwon, formerly of SK Telecom, has been named a technical advisor in South Korea. Sang Hyen Jang has been named the general manager of TechnoConcepts Korean operations. "These three gentlemen bring a tremendous amount of talent and expertise to our growing operations in eastern Asia. We are delighted to welcome them to the TechnoConcepts team and look forward to their contributions in the very near future," said AntonioTurgeon, chairman and CEO. Jin Chan Kim was formerly chairman and CEO of Mercury Corp, as well as a managing director and vice president of Information and Communications for Daewood Telecom Ltd. Before that he was a director at Kwangjin Electronics Corp, which was acquired by Daewoo Telecom. Gi Yong Kwon has significant experience in wire and wireless Internet business as a result of his work with SK Communications Corporation where he served from 1996 through 2002. Most recently he was employed by PNP Partners Corporation and Ilitrend Co. Ltd. He holds a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. Sang Hyen Jang has worked with companies that include Rexsoft, Ltd., Global Knowledge Co., Ltd., NCNI Co., Ltd., Osicom Co., Ltd., NewWBridge Co., Ltd., Kore@netCo., Ltd. ADC Co., Ltd., and Datacom Co., Ltd.
