Former Tektronix executive to head Agilent’s design validation division

Agilent Technologies Inc. has named David Churchill, a former Tektronix Inc. executive, as vice president and general manager of the company's Design Validation Division.

"We are delighted to have David join the Agilent management team and believe he will make major contributions to strengthen our position as the world's premier test and measurement company," said Pat Byrne, president of Agilent's Electronic Products and Solutions Group. "He has a distinguished record of accomplishments in the industry and brings a keen awareness of customer needs."

While at Tektronix, Churchill held executive positions including director of marketing for Europe, director of marketing for the Design, Service and Test Division, vice president of Internet services and advertising, and vice president and general manager of the Instrumentation Business Unit. Most recently he served as vice president and general manager of the Communications and Video Business Unit at Tektronix. Churchill received his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Sheridan College in Canada.
