Xpedion Design Systems, Inc. has announced the addition of Ken Kundert and Henry Chang to its technical advisory board. Both Kundert, who is the chairman of the board, and Chang bring a deep knowledge of RF circuit design and simulation technology as well as industry insight to Xpedion.

Kundert is most notably known as the architect of several RF EDA tools including Cadence's Spectre, Spectre RF and the original Agilent ADS harmonic balance product. Kundert's work has influenced a generation of RF designers over the past 15 years. He has also written three books on circuit simulation, written dozens of papers and holds 11 patents in the area.

Chang is widely known for developing analog and mixed-signal design methodologies for many leading integrated circuit companies. Most recently, Kundert and Chang formed Designer's Guide Consulting, Inc. Xpedion and Designer's Guide Consulting, Inc. also forged a strategic partnership to advance the state of the art in RFIC design.

"I'm looking forward to working with Xpedion to help shape the technology strategy of the company as it addresses the RFIC design needs," Kundert said. "There is a proven demand for solutions that address the issues in designing today's complex integrated receivers."

"Xpedion is focused on providing the best technology for the RF design community's requirements," states Rick Lazansky, executive vice president of development. "Adding experts like Kundert and Chang to our technical advisory board brings Xpedion a tremendous benefit to address these requirements."
