Aeroflex has announced an agreement with Kenwood USA for providing advanced Project 25 testing solutions to Kenwood dealers. Under this program, Kenwood dealers will be able to lease the Aeroflex 2975 Advanced P25 radio test system at special discount rates. The 2975 will be used in the installation, test and alignment of P25 and other radio systems currently fielded and in development from Kenwood. In addition to the special lease program that Aeroflex has provided to Kenwood dealers, Aeroflex will be working closely with Kenwood engineering to develop specific test configurations for the 2975 to expedite Kenwood radio tests.

Under this initiative, Aeroflex will also be offering training classes on P25 technology and advanced digital radio operation. The two have teamed up to provide pre-configured radio test setups for the Aeroflex 2975 radio test system.

“Now Kenwood dealers can easily access the testing and alignment test configuration from both Kenwood and Aeroflex on new and existing Kenwood radios,” said Rob Barden, director of product marketing for radio test solutions at Aeroflex. “This also includes P25 and PassPort radios. This feature will be free to all Kenwood dealers.”

Technologies supported by the 2975 include P25 conventional, P25 trunking, PassPort, LTR, AM and FM Analog. Aeroflex will also be offering training classes through Kenwood USA on P25 technology and advanced digital radio operation.
