Anchor Bay has announced the appointment of Mark Scheible to the position of vice president of worldwide sales. In this role Scheible will direct the sales efforts for Anchor Bay's advanced video processing chips. Scheible will lead the positioning of the new ABT2010 chip, as well as the current family of video processing chips, in the digital video imaging and home theater market.

Scheible has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the semiconductor industry. He comes to Anchor Bay from Reflectivity, a supplier of MEMS-based micro mirror display technologies, where he served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to Reflectivity, he served as vice president of worldwide sales for Silego Technology, a developer of silicon-based timing solutions.

In addition, he has served as vice president of worldwide sales for SiRF Technology and S3. Prior to joining S3, Scheible was general manager of NEC Electronics Microprocessor, DSP, speech and peripheral operation, and held various senior marketing and sales positions at Sun Microsystems and Intel Corporation.
