Anchor Bay Technologies' ABT1010 Precision Video Scaling technology — part of its Video Reference Series (VRS) — has been chosen by Arcam for use in its DiVA DV137 1080p, up-scaling universal DVD player.

The DV137 is Arcam's universal DVD player, which supplies high-resolution pictures direct to the display using its HDMI output, bypassing the low-cost scaling chips inside most of today's digital video displays. Powered by Anchor Bay's ABT1010 scaling engine, the DV137 up-converts standard-definition (480p, 576p) formats from the DVD decoder and outputs any resolution from VGA (640 x 480) to 1080p (1920 x 1080), with multiple standard and custom aspect ratios.

Anchor Bay's ABT1010 scaling engine is based on proprietary video scaling technologies that can independently scale an image horizontally and vertically for high-resolution video displays. The ABT1010 is completely flexible, accepting 480p/576p formats and outputting any resolution from VGA (640 x 480) to 1080p (1920 x 1080) with no ringing or other artifacts.
