In October 2004, PRIMEDIA Business Magazines & Media will launch an in-depth publication, which will focus on major electronics trends and business issues in the automotive industry today. Titled WARD’s Auto Electronics, the stand-alone publication will mail with the October issue of the following three PRIMEDIA magazines:
“This is a natural convergence and extension of three important Primedia Business brands,” according to Executive Vice President John French. “Automotive is an extremely hot segment within the electronics marketplace, yet until now, there has not been a publication exclusively focused on this segment. We’re pleased that three of our leading publications could come together to serve the needs of the industry.” WARD’S Auto Electronics will be distributed to 24,500 subscribers involved in automotive electronics, derived from the three titles mentioned above as well as Primedia’s Electronics Source Book. Of this total, 3000 copies will go to key automotive design centers outside of North America. The publication will also be distributed at the upcoming Convergence 2004 Conference, Oct. 18 through 20, 2004, in Detroit. The event focuses specifically on the issue of automotive electronics, with a theme of “Vehicle Electronics to Digital Mobility: The Next Generation of Convergence.” Tapping the expertise of editors from PE Tech and RF Design magazines, WARD’s Auto Electronics will examine some of the auto industry’s most pressing issues from the perspective of the electronics design engineer. The editorial team includes PE Tech and RF Design Editorial Director Ashok Bindra and Editor David Morrison. “Electronics technology applications are growing at an accelerated pace within the automotive industry,” says PE Tech and RF Design Group Publisher Barry LeCerf. “The need for technology-based information is vital. By combining the expertise of these three industry-leading publications we’re providing automotive electronics engineers here in the US and abroad the information they need to improve their operations and design work.” Developments that will be covered include:
The latest active and passive safety systems WARD’s AutoWorld is the leading publication in the automotive marketplace.
