KR Electronics has developed a pseudoelliptic bandpass filter with center frequency of 55 MHz. It features typical insertion loss of 3.5 dB, 3-dB bandwidth of 55 MHz, and 60-dB bandwidth of 100 MHz. The use of pseudo elliptic type filter at bandwidths as low as 10 percent allows performance not easily attainable with all-pole filter types. The filter is supplied in an SMA package measuring 0.6 x 0.6 x 2.25 inches and is available in a surface mount package. Other center frequencies and bandwidths are available.
