As part of its goal to extend the life of classic military ICs, QP Semiconductor is introducing a single replacement part, the QP1691AJ, for the discontinued RS-422 and RS-423 line drivers with tri-state outputs, part numbers DS1691AJ/883 and DS1691AJ – SMD (5962-8672101EA), respectively. QP Semiconductor is in the advanced layout phase and firm dates for delivery of the initial QP1691AJ production parts will be announced shortly.
Because the QP1691AJ solution is a qualified replacement for the DS1961AJ line driver series it will enable system designers and OEMs to continue to use familiar and proven solutions in transmission-line applications. QP Semiconductor is a fabless manufacturer of high-reliability ICs for military/aerospace systems.
