Modeling specialist Modelithics has released a collection of capacitor, inductor, and resistor (CLR) equivalent-circuit models for use with the Cadence Virtuoso Spectre Circuit Simulator XL. The surface-mount CLR models are extracted from precision impedance and S-parameter measurements and include such features as part-value scaling, substrate scaling, pad scaling,a nd high-order resonant effects. Most of the models are validated by measurements to 10 GHz, with some models validated through 40 GHz.
