High gain MMIC LNA targets satellite radio receivers
Jan 3, 2007 2:37 PM

NEC's newest InGaP MMIC low-noise amplifier (LNA) UPG2310TK targets the 2.34 GHz satellite digital audio radio services (SDARS) applications, as well as the 2.4 GHz – 2.5 GHz ISM band. Designed for use in antenna modules, the UPG2310TK replaces two stages of discrete amplifiers to lower a circuit’s part count and simplify its design. It features high gain, low noise figure, and high intercept point, all in a super-compact 6-pin leadless 1.5 mm x 1.3 mm x 0.55 mm minimold package.

Key typical specifications include a gain of 27 dB, noise figure of 1.8 dB, and output IP3 of +28.5 dBm. Circuit current consumption is rated at 30 mA.

The UPG2310TK is in production now. Samples are available from California Eastern Laboratories. For a data sheet, visit www.cel.com
