GaAs MMIC T/R switch offers low loss, high linearity Jun 2, 2005 2:53 PM
Hittite Microwave Corp. has released a 10 W gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) positive control T/R switch for cellular/3G, mobile radio and automotive telematics applications from 0.2 to 2.2 GHz. The HMC546MS8G is a low-loss, high-linearity switch housed in an 8-lead MSOP8G surface-mount package. This switch provides high P0.1 dB compression of +40 dBm and input IP3 of +65 dBm on the transmit (Tx) port, making it suitable for use in transmit-receive applications that require low distortion at high-input power levels. On-chip circuitry enables the HMC546MS8G to operate with single positive control voltages from 0/+3 V to 0/+8 V, with low DC current consumption. An RoHS-compliant version of this product is available as the HMC546MS8GE.
