Multiplexer Handles 8-To-18-GHz Signals
Oct 9, 2008 5:08 PM

Model SS-00159 is a broadband multiplexer designed for wideband receiver applications. It separates the broad frequency range from 8 to 18 GHz into five 2-GHz channel segments that are more manageable for signal processing. Each spectrally overlapping filter band is achieved with low insertion loss of only 1.25 dB but with high isolation of 70 dB between channels. The multiplexer is designed with cavity transverse-electromagnetic (TEM) combline filters, with resonators machined directly into the multiplexer housing. The compact multiplexer measures just 4.0 x 3.0 x 0.5 in. with SMA connectors on one side.
