Integra introduces S-band radar module Dec 2, 2003 12:00 PM RF Design Staff
El Segundo, Calif. -- Integra Technologies Inc. introduced the IBP2729M280 pulsed power transistor and MMIC circuitry module to simplify S-Band radar system design. The module produces over 280 watts of power from 2.7 GHz to 2.9 GHz with over 40 percent efficiency and 8.0 dB gain. The module also amplifies 100uS, 10 percent duty pulses and operates from a 36 volt power supply. The amplifier is stable into 1.5:1 load VSWR and survives 2:1 mismatch. The module's transistors use all gold metallization and interconnect systems for high reliability operation in conventional and phased array radar systems, the company says.
