Power dividers, directional couplers achieve performance in compact SM packages

RLC Electronics has released two new product lines, which include surface-mount power dividers and directional couplers. While the power dividers combine the characteristics of a Wilkinson divider in a compact surface mount (SM) package, the directional couplers simplify installation while providing high directivity and low VSWR.

For SM power dividers, both 2- and 4-way designs are available with a frequency range of 0.5 to 2.0 GHz. Both the models, DSM-0520-2 and DSM-0520-4, offer minimum isolation of 20 dB. However, maximum insertion loss for model 0520-2 is 0.5 dB and 1.0 dB for model 0520-4. Average power rating is 10 W (outputs terminated with a VSWR less than 1.35.) The IN/OUT VSWR (max) is specified at 1.5:1. The dividers comply with MIL-E-5400 class 1A standard.

Likewise, the directional couplers are available in both octave and multi-octave bandwidths over the frequency range of 500 to 3000 MHz. Standard coupling values are 10 ± 0.5 dB, 16 ± 0.5 dB and 20 ± 1.0 dB. Model numbers are SC-0510, SC-1020, SC-1530, SC-0520, and SC-0530. Impedance is 50 Ohms. And the couplers comply with MIL-E-5400 class 1A specifications.
