SMD isolators offer higher performance for TETRA handsets

Paris, France -- The increase in demand for digital personal mobile radios (PMR) across Europe has led Temex to introduce a new range of SMD isolators, the first in a projected series of new microwave components for the PMR market.

The RoHS-compliant SMD chip isolators, designed to protect other microwave components from excessive signal reflection, cover the frequency range 380-430MHz. The new, low-cost, drop-in isolators, with typical isolation of 12 dB, a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 11 dB and insertion loss of 1 dB offer performance improvements over previously available devices.

Devices are available in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) versions, with forward power input of 10 W and reverse power of 2 W. The isolators are operational from -40°C up to +85°C and are available in both 10 mm x 10 mm x 4 mm and 12 mm x 12 mm x 4 mm form factors, tape and reeled in quantities of 500.
