Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) has announced the appointment of Christopher A. French as vice president and general manager of R&S Canada, reporting to Jack Cowper, president of R&S Canada. He is responsible for the overall management of R&S Canada’s operations including sales of test and measurement equipment, broadcast transmitters, and aerospace and defense products.

French comes to R&S from Mondial Teknology, where he was a partner and executive vice president. Before joining Mondial Teknology, French spent10 years at Telecommunications Techniques Corp. (TTC), now Acterna/JDSU, where he joined as general manager for the company’s Canadian operations and later became director, Americas, and finally director of European and Canadian Operations.

French received his BS degree in industrial and scientific instrumentation from Seneca College (Toronto, Ontario) and has executive MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
