Stephen W. Shpock recently joined The Vitec Group RF Systems as the company's new President and Managing Director (MD). A business unit of the Broadcast Systems Division of The Vitec Group plc, The Vitec Group RF Systems consists of the repair firm Microwave Services Corporation, wireless link specialist Nucomm, and distributor RF Central. Shpock will oversee all three of the US-based companies and be responsible for their worldwide operations.
Shpock elated that "My goal is to ensure that The Vitec Group RF Systems’ companies maintain their reputations as the leading specialists in microwave wireless transmission across the globe. I’m proud to take the reins during this historic transition to digital broadcasting, when the speed, cost and bandwidth capabilities inherent to microwave wireless transmission will find more appreciation and application than ever before."Prior to his new positions, Shpock was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thales Components Corporation, where he was responsible for all North American component activities for the multinational Thales Group. Previous to that position, he served as COO of MCE Technologies, where he led the strategic direction and coordination of all global manufacturing, engineering and marketing activities. Shpock will operate from Nucomm headquarters in Hackettstown, NJ.
