System runs validated RF test for EV-DO revision A based mobile devices Aug 16, 2007 4:18 PM
Spirent Communications plc, a global provider of performance analysis and service management solutions, has readied a test platform, labeled C2K-ATS platform, to run validated RF test cases for EV-DO Revision A technology based mobile devices. EV-DO Revision A is a next-generation cellular technology that increases the efficiency, data speeds and capacity of EV-DO networks. The CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) validated that 18 RF conformance test cases on Spirent’s C2K-ATS test platform have been implemented per the 3GPP2's industry-standard C.S0033-A specification. With this validation, conformance to these tests becomes mandatory for CCF-certified Revision A devices. “The CCF’s certification program drives higher quality and performance from CDMA mobile devices,” said Rob VanBrunt, Spirent Communication’s vice president of product management. “Spirent is now the only test solution provider to ensure mobile devices based on EV-DO Revision A technology are CCF-authorized.”
