Surface-Mount LNAs Boost GPS Signals
Dec 11, 2008 3:54 PM

A line of filtered surface-mount low-noise-amplifier (LNA) modules provide a number of choices in gain for use in Global Positioning System systems. Designed for use at GPS L-band frequencies (1227.6 and 1575.42 MHz), these filtered amplifiers can be specified with 26, 32, or 38 dB gain for supply voltages from +5 to +32 VDC. They provide 35 dB out-of-band rejection and noise figure of 0.8 dB for improved GPS performance. The amplifier modules, which typically consume 77 mA current, are supplied in compact 4-pin housings.
