Smartphone software company selects Wi-Fi certification system Mar 22, 2007 3:03 PM
Symbian, developer of the Symbian OS operating system for smartphones, has selected the AzCert Wi-Fi Certification Test Suite for Test Engine-enabled devices from Azimuth Systems. This will help to streamline performance, interoperability and certification testing of Symbian smartphones. “By building support for the Test Engine approach into their products, Symbian is advancing the testing of converged handsets,” said Jeff Abramowitz, vice president of marketing at Azimuth Systems. “Operators are pressing phone vendors for ‘carrier-grade’ Wi-Fi support, and Azimuth’s automated test solutions enable smartphone vendors to deliver high performance Wi-Fi solutions efficiently.”
