TeraVicta unveils RF MEMS roadmap Mar 15, 2007 2:47 PM
RF MEMS switches supplier TeraVicta Technologies, Inc.has unwrapped a product roadmap to extends the reach of its new switching technology. Leveraging its RF MEMS capability, the company is introducing three new product lines. The first line introduced early last year offers DC to 7GHz switching ability, while the second series boats a higher frequency range of DC to 26.5 GHz. Just announced 26.5 GHz single-pole, double throw (SPDT) measures 3.25 x 4.5 x 1.25 mm. While the third sets a new low cost benchmark for MEMS switch technology, breaking the $8 level for modest volumes with a new DC to 2.5 GHz line. Each of the announced product lines will contain a number of derivative products which will make MEMS switch solutions attractive to a wider array of commercial applications, said the maker. Target applications for RF MEMS include high-performance test and measurement, ATE, wireless communications equipment, and price-sensitive commercial devices requiring superior RF and broadband performance associated with MEMS technology.
