$118 million army contract to support surveillance systems in Southwest Asia Jun 25, 2008 3:16 PM
ManTech International Corporation has announced that it has received a contract from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command to support a variety of surveillance systems deployed throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. The competitively awarded, three-year effort has a total potential value of $118 million. These surveillance systems provide the U.S. military with the intelligence required to rapidly respond to potentially hostile acts against U.S. and coalition forces. They consist of the U.S. Army's Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment System, Base Expeditionary Target Surveillance Systems and the U.S. Marine Corps Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System. ManTech is a subcontractor to CSC and will provide a substantial level of the services ordered under the contract, including deployed fielding support, maintenance and repair. These services will be provided in Southwest Asia — including Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. Earlier this year, ManTech's Quality Management System supporting the U.S. Army Regional Support Centers (RSCs) received International Standards Organization 9001:2000 certification. The RSCs provide integrated, C4ISR support to Army units within the U.S. and overseas. With headquarters in Fairfax, VA, ManTech International Corporation is a provider of technologies and solutions for national security programs for the Intelligence Community; the departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security and Justice; the Space Community and other U.S. federal government customers.
