The bundling of Beceem chipsets and SkyCross antennas provides superior performance while shortening and simplifying the design process to reduce time to market and associated costs. The convenient, one-stop RF solution is versatile, providing device manufacturers with the freedom to enable WiMAX on a wide range of mobile platforms.

The partnership brings together two leading innovators in the developing WiMAX market. Beceem commercially offers a chipset solution suitable for mobile, portable, and fixed applications for the approved IEEE 802.16E standard. SkyCross designed and manufactured the first antennas for Samsung PC cards sold in South Korea for WiBro, a WiMAX-compliant offering.
