Engineering services provider National Technical Systems, Inc. said that it has successfully completed certification testing of Telegesis’ ZigBee PRO compliant module ETRX2. Telegesis’ module passed the requirements for the ZigBee manufacturer specific profile (MSP) certification, as outlined by the ZigBee Alliance, making ETRX2 the world’s first module certified using the latest ZigBee feature set, ZigBee PRO, said Telegesis.

“NTS is pleased to see manufacturers such as Telegesis, bringing ZigBee products to the market so quickly, and having them officially certified to verify that they meet the standards developed by the ZigBee Alliance,” commented Osman Sakr, chief technology officer of NTS. “We are looking to test many additional products that will require the ZigBee MSP certification.”

As a member of the ZigBee Alliance, NTS has participated since inception in the development of the certification program, which is governed by the ZigBee Alliance. NTS is not only able to perform the complete suite of testing required by ZigBee, but has also developed a custom, vendor agnostic test application called ZigTest, which simplifies the validation of the ZigBee MAC, ZCP and MSP test requirements, according to NTS.
