Spotlight on Automotive Wireless Connectivity

The two reference designs for the wireless docking components support DVI video displays, with connections made to the video peripherals through their DVI ports. The Wireless Docking Station design (shown in the figure) also includes four USB ports, one wireless USB association port, an Ethernet port and industry-standard audio. The card for the PC is in the PCI Express Mini Card (50.95 mm x 30.00 mm) form factor. The hardware and software provide a complete, highly integrated solution.

In addition to the reference designs, the hardware package includes schematics, layout source files, a detailed bill-of-materials, design manual and a quick-start guide. The software package includes the WiQuest Control Center (WiCC) application software, device drivers and firmware. The Mini Card and Wireless Docking Station reference design kits are available now by contacting WiQuest.
