What is RSS?

RSS ("really simple syndication") is a kind of format for sharing and distributing content online. Utilizing RSS, users can easily monitor news stories, reviews, blogs, and other content from many web sites at once. Subscribing to our free RSS feeds will put you in control of how you read our stories. For more information, see this New York Times story on using RSS.

How can I use it?

There are several ways to start using RSS: either by using a private, personalized RSS web page, by downloading a software application, or by using a feed-reading browser. Novices might want to consider choosing the personalized web page option - it's free, easy, and just takes a minute to set up.

Web Page :

RSS Software: Feed-Reading Browsers:

Okay, I'm signed up. Now what?

Now you've set up an RSS feed-reading service, you're ready to start subscribing to some of the thousands of RSS feeds freely available on the web. For example, if you signed up with Bloglines, click the appropriate icons in the sidebar on this page to sign up for the news feeds you're interested in. Now, every time you visit your personalized page on Bloglines, you'll be able to monitor any new content from RF Design. From that same page, you'll also be able to monitor new content from any other sites you've subscribed to. Using RSS, you'll not only save time, but also be able to monitor content from many more sources.
